Well, I know that you’ve never heard me say this before, so I’ll be sure and mention it:
I LOVE PROJECT LIFE.

Project Life Baby Boy Edition @mercyisnew.com

ha!! I’ve had the brand new BABY BOY edition for a few weeks now but it was a gift so I couldn’t share it with you!! We were blessed to go to a baby shower over the weekend for my brother and his wife, so I gave them their gift and now I can show you!! {Oh and how exciting it this?!? I’m going to be an AUNT again in APRIL and again in SEPTEMBER!! Woo-hoo!!}

The cards in this kit are PERFECT. Perfect, I tell ya!! Just look…so sweet!

Here is the cover page, as suggested by the kit.

And the book starts with the baby’s heritage!! Lots of family pictures from both sides!! I love this!

There is also a page that says, “STORY OF US,” where you can include wedding pictures and the couple’s story of how they met.

Then there are “expecting you” pages…space for ultrasound pics, journaling cards that say, “what mom craved” and “how much weight mom & dad gained.” ha!!

Then, my sister-in-law will be able to add pictures each month after the baby is born! There are pages for the birth and delivery, pages and cards for each month where you can add in the stats, etc. Becky Higgins thought of everything!

Don’t you love it?!?! I really, really want to get 3 kits for my kids and re-do all their baby pictures!! But, haven’t talked my budget into that yet. :)

The picture you see above is my FIRST FULL PAGE in my 2013 album!!

Project Life 2013: my title page!!

My kit came today and I couldn’t wait to get started and show you my title page!! :)

The cards that were designated for the title page didn’t have any pink – and I wanted to bring in some of that shade right away, so I added some washi tape and one of the pink journaling cards behind our family photo.

This year I am using the Olive Edition!! It is soooo pretty!! I love it even more now that I have it my hands!!

New Project Life Stuff in at amazon!!

{This post may contain affiliate links of items that I personally have used and loved. Thank you for your support of this blog and our family by purchasing through our links.}

I’m SO excited!! The new kit that I’ve been waiting on for my 2013 album is in at amazon!! Woo-hoo!!

It’s SO pretty! I love the Olive Edition! (the other new edition this year is Seafoam, which I don’t see available just yet. Here is some Seafoam paper if you want to take a peek.)

I’m sure you’ve already seen the brand new BABY KITS!! Oh my…I’m having to have much restraint to not order 3 of these and re-do all my baby pictures. :) I still might do it if I can make myself save the money for them.

Project Life Core Kit – Baby Edition for Her

Project Life Core Kit – Baby Edition for Him

And the neutral is just as lovely with lots of yellows and grays, which I love!!
Project Life Core Kit – Baby Edition

I LOVE the childhood kits!! These would be great for working on albums for your kids – or adding them here and there to the kits you already use!

This  Wellington Editionis the first to be available on amazon, these are MINI kits, now there are several childhood kits available…I LOVE THESE.

There are also new “mini-albums” which would be perfect for a vacation book or mission trip, etc. A one time event maybe!

And oh my goodness – have you seen all the NEW KITS coming in May?!!? I love the simplicity of Project Life, but now our options are going to craziness!!

Here on Becky Higgin’s blog she describes and shows pics of all the new kits that will be available sometime in May. This would be great for going back and doing all the old pictures that we’ve done nothing with! :)

There are also still some of the White Signature Binders available for 14.99 – which would be perfect for the baby albums, in my opinion. :)

NOTE: DO NOT LET PROJECT LIFE BE OVERWHELMING! That is the beauty of it!!

All you need: ALBUM + CORE KIT + PHOTO POCKET PAGES

Within those 3 items are many choices, but don’t let it overwhelm you, just know that you need the 3 main things. If you want to add on the “extras” later, do it later or as you go!!

For photo pocket pages, I like to use the  variety packsso that I have a variety to choose from and can use pictures going horizontally and vertically.

Check out all my other Project Life posts for more inspiration and to see pics of my pages from past albums!! :)

Project Life ~ finishing up 2012

{This post may contain affiliate links of items that I personally have used and loved. Thank you for your support of this blog and our family by purchasing through our links.}

So, I’ve been a slacker in sharing my Project Life pages with you!!

But, this week, with a few slower days around the house, I finished up my 2012 album!! I’m SO excited that I have a finished album for 2011 and 2012! You just can’t say that (or accomplish that) with any other scrapbooking method.

I’m SO excited about the new kits for 2013. I am leaning towards ordering the OLIVE kit. Neither kit is available on Amazon yet, but they are both so pretty!! (the other 2013 kit is Seafoam, just as lovely!)

And have you seen the BABY KITS for boy, girl or neutral - which is really pretty with greys and yellows?!?! I told my hubby that I *almost* want to order 3 of these and re-organize all my baby pictures!!

I did order a few of these white albums because they are on sale right now for $14.99!! You can’t beat that for the White Signature Binder, regularly $19.99.

Here are a few pictures of my December pages:

I used quite a few of these FREEBIE Christmas printables!! They are awesome!! You need to create an account with AC Digitals, but you don’t have to pay anything for these. If you see a Christmas quote or card in the next few pages, it was from this freebie set!

Project Life Tuesday!

If you have ever wondered what Project Life is all about…Becky Higgins created this very cute video that is short and sweet. Take a peek…

What is Project Life? from Becky Higgins LLC on Vimeo.

And I just want to re-emphasize how SIMPLE this project life thing is. Seriously, all.you.do is slide the pictures into the pages. It takes a few minutes to write out a journaling card and you are done!! If you want to embellish, it’s up to you…as you can see, I don’t do anything very elaborate. Each page honestly takes a FEW MINUTES at the most.

The other thing I wanted to mention is that I don’t keep up with inserting my pictures into the book every week. I wait until a photo place (shutterfly, walgreens and snapfish are my usuals) has a deal on photo prints and then I order a bunch. When I get in that order, I take a few minutes and stick all the pictures in. Then I just have to go back and add journaling.

Here are a few of my  most recent Project Life pages…as usual, simple is what keeps my project going!! :)

I finally ordered some of these pages (Design G) that have pictures going vertically and horizontally! I love these pages because it allows me to use both!!

I am soooo excited about all the NEW products that have been announced at Project Life!! {now if I could just inherit a million dollars I would purchase each item!!}

They aren’t out yet or available for purchase, but soon to come are BABY kits, CHILDHOOD kits…oh my!! And for next year’s book…olive or seafoam? I really like them both!!

Project Life Tuesday – a shutterfly book!!

{This post may contain affiliate links of items that I personally have used and loved. Thank you for your support of this blog and our family by purchasing through our links.}
I’m in love. with a book. :)
project life shutterfly book

So, as you know, this is my 2nd year using Project Life for documenting our lives. I love, love, love Project Life. And now I have another reason to rave.

This year, Project Life became a digital option at Shutterfly. I just finished my first PL book through Shutterfly and I.love.it.so.much!!

The same colors and patterns that I love about Project Life are ready and waiting for you at shutterfly. I am using the Clementine (Project Life Binder – Clementine Edition) version for my actual album with photos this year. So, this time, I went with the Turquoise (Project Life Binder – Turquoise Edition) edition. I love all the red with the turquoise!

Aren’t these pages beautiful?

I did a 2-page layout for each child’s birthday, etc. I did a page of our beach vacation, a spread for Hannah’s baptism, Christmas, Easter, etc.
I pretty much got a quick-glance of a full year in our family in this one book!!
And it took me less than 2 hours from start to finish!!

I will tell you, though, I could have spent a LOT longer. There are options that I did not even look at. So, if you want more…it’s there. I could have changed up the layouts, fonts, etc. But I pretty much went with what was already there. And it’s gorgeous.

I wanted quick and I wanted to get it finished and in the mail.

I am using this book to take with me to southeast Asia…to show off my beautiful family and to use as a witnessing tool – I have Scripture all through my book AND pics of Hannah’s baptism!! awesome!!
I am very excited about this option for fast memory keeping. I love getting my hands on the photos, papers and cute stuff of scrapbooking. But, when I can document a full year of my family’s life in less than 2 hours? Well, that is pretty awesome!

project life title page 2012

**I set this post before I left for Belize! I was so excited to share my title page with you! :)
I love how my cover/title page turned out this year! I really didn’t spend *that* much time on it! But just a few little things made a BIG difference in just personalizing the page a bit!
I love that I was able to incorporate the year, my word of the year, the verse God gave me to start this year AND a new-ish picture of our family! I love how it turned out!!

Project Life

{This post may contain affiliate links of items that I personally have used and loved. Thank you for your support of this blog and our family by purchasing through our links.}

Have you heard of Project Life? I believe I first heard of this from Jessica Turner’s blog, The Mom Creative. (here are all of Jessica’s Project Life posts.)When I first saw this (nearly a year ago) I knew I wanted it…but I didn’t purchase it because I think it was just after the new year and I like to start things when they are supposed to be started. I’m weird like that. :)

Project Life is a scrapbooking kit that is very different from how I have scrapbooked in the past. Look at the Project Life site and you can see pictures of the product if you are interested in checking it out. :)

So, now that we are approaching January 1st, and there is a NEW Project Life Kit out…I am planning to start!! I’m SO excited about this scrapbooking project!! I have scrapbooked for years…in a fairly simple format, and I LOVE it, but this is different, it won’t be as time consuming and I do believe this first book will be MINE to keep!! ha!! The scrapbooks I make for each of my children, I know someday I will pass on to them…it will be a gift to them. But, this Project Life book will be for me. At least that is my plan now. :)

Here is a video of the creator of Project Life, Becky Higgins, sharing about the new kits for this year!

So, I’m going to join Jessica’s blog each week and *try* to post my Project Life pictures…I figure as much as I love posting pictures, this will help keep me going and accountable with keeping my pictures up to date.

This year there are 2 options, the Amber and the Turquoise. I am planning to get the Amber. :)

And, if this post could get any longer…here is another video – this is from someone who has used Project Life and she has shown us how her book looks and what she has done with it!! yay!! Videos and pictures like this REALLY inspire me, so I thought I’d share with you, too!

So, do any of you already use Project Life? If you do, or if you start using it, please share!! I’d love to swap stories and ideas with you!!
