I love having candles lit around my home.
I almost can't describe it...but I love it so much.
Makes my home feel warm, peaceful...beautiful.
Simple beauty. Seeking those things out should be more important, I think!
I loved watching the passion 2013 sessions online!!
wish I could have been there!
My great-grandmother made this!!
My mom has had it but was looking for a new home for it,
so now it's ours!
One of my new habits this year...
I shared more about this here and cultivating a heart of contentment.
One of my favorite moments of the day...
too bad it's so hard to then GET UP from this moment. ha!
My new favorite feeder...right by the window where I sit for the above picture. :)
Watching birds, reading, praying and drinking my coffee.
The perfect start to my days!
David and the kids painted some old cabinets this week!
These have been in our shed for over a year I guess...
We took them out of one bathroom when we gutted it,
and soon they will be hanging above my washer and dryer!
I'm so excited, I've had no shelves there for quite awhile!
These are all the GOOD BOOKS on our iPad/kindle!!
Can't believe we've gotten most of these for FREE or less than $2.
One of my 2013 goals is to finish these. :)
I've already finished 2 of them!! (more coming soon on those...)
A new pile of BOOKS.
I think I definitely like holding an ACTUAL BOOK
and that's why I go through more of them as opposed to the kindle books.
But, when you get a GREAT BOOK for free,
sometimes it's the cheapest way to read. :)
Beth Moore had a live devotional this week on this verse.
Such a beautiful word for the new year!
I am almost done with this book...
definitely writing a post on this soon.
Simplicity - I crave it, but it goes SO against our culture!!
Trying to pray and think about how to be proactive in seeking simplicity.
My dad came over and jumped on the trampoline with the kids!!
And he's still alive, too! :)

Enjoyed your photos. I'm definitely going to have to check out the Almost Amish book. Looks very interesting! Stumbled upon your blog from Insta-Friday and I'm your newest follower :)
