I first saw Tracie's journaling on instagram and wanted to give it a try myself! (side note, are you on instagram?? if so, look for me: hismercyisnew. It is one of my favorite social media outlets right now! And let me know your insta-name so I can follow you. ha!)
Now that I've been doing it a few weeks I love it!

And then, I read Amanda's post about sharing bits of our quiet times on instagram and social media and it really resonated with me! There is a whole group of ladies reading God's Word and sharing together on Instagram and Twitter. (I'm not in these specific groups, but I think it's neat that they are holding each other accountable in this way!)
Now, my doodles and journal entries aren't the prettiest or most artistic. But, I enjoy it. And I am meditating on God's Word. win-win! I am a creative type personality...but my creativity comes in different forms - usually music, I'm no artist! But I still really enjoy this!!
I usually choose a phrase or small portion of Scripture that I want to focus on for the day and write in my journal...now it is so much prettier. :) It's calming and peaceful...and Christ-centered. I have really loved starting my mornings this way.
Who knew a simple pack of colored pens could change your mornings?
